Sean Brennan – USA

Sean Brennan, born in 1990, is a violist from Michigan. He studies with Igor Fedotov at Western Michigan University. Previously he studied with Valentin Ragusitu.

Sean has performed regularly with the Kalamazoo and Battle Creek Symphony Orchestras, including as Principal Violist with Battle Creek in February 2011. As a chamber musician, he has been a part of many ensembles performing new and rare works, including Ligeti’s /Chamber Concerto/ in February 2010. Sean frequently premiers student and faculty compositions at Western Michigan University.

He has also played in faculty chamber groups at headlining concerts for events such as WMU’s biennial Double Reeds Festival. Sean has performed as a featured soloist with his high school alma mater, and has entered several regional and university solo and concerto competitions. He has performed in master classes with, among others, Vadim Mazo and Roger Chase. Sean is a 2012 inductee into the Pi Kappa Lambda honor society in music.
