Musicians will participate in a three-week program of intense musical study with an outstanding international faculty. Professional training in the preparation of repertoire for the numerous rich performance experiences offered is emphasized.
Four public evening concerts per week and some afternoon concerts are held during the three-week program . Performers are chosen on the strength of their submitted recording. A unique opportunity is provided for students who are ready for professional performing experiences and would like to perform their repertoire in beautiful halls for excellent audiences.
The program takes place in restored 17th and 18th century buildings, including a classical Italian style opera house, concert halls, practice and teaching studios and modernized living quarters. Participants live at Santa Chiara, a large 17th century former convent with modernized rooms for students (1-2 per room). Students receive 3 Italian meals daily, except on free days (Saturdays and Sundays).
