Liam MACINTOSH

Liam is a 17 year old Canadian cellist who resides in Langley, BC. He started playing cello at the age of 8 and he continues to advance in his skills as a musician. He is currently studying with Joel Stobbe who is part of the faculty of Langley Community Music School. Liam is a well-rounded musician who actively participates in orchestra and chamber music, as well as studying music history and harmony. Liam has won many awards at local and regional music festivals as well as being awarded honourable mention at BC Performing Arts Festival in the intermediate strings category. His string quartet recently won the junior category of the 2016 Friends of Chamber Music Competition in Vancouver where they were also awarded the audience choice award. Outside of music, Liam enjoys creating visual works in the media of sculpture, painting, and drawing.
