Andreas Siles Mellinger currently age 16, was born in Cochabamba, Bolivia, and first started to play violin at age 8 in the Institut “Eduardo Laredo” with Mag. Eduardo Rodriguez. At age 14 he was given a Scolarship from the J. S. Bach music school to study with Lucy Hall in Viena, Austria. He performed in places such as the “gläserner Saal” in the Murikverein, MuTh, Konzerthaus and played with the Franz Schimdt Kammerorchester, “Orquesta Sinfonica del Instituto Eduardo Laredo” and the Young Master Players Orchestra in which he has taken the place of concertmaster. He has had Masterclasses with: Taras Gabora, Dora Schwarzberg, Ivry Gitlis and Jaime Laredo.
