Andrew _Strauss

Violist Andrew Strauss began his musical studies in his hometown of Naples, Florida. He attended UC Berkeley, playing in the orchestra and various chamber ensembles. A winner of the Concerto Competition, he soloed in Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante with the UC Symphony. Andrew has served as guest instructor of viola at the Oakland School for the Arts. He is currently pursuing his Masters degree under the instruction of Roger Chase at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. He is an aficionado of 78 rpm recordings and a lifelong admirer of the works of Vladimir Nabokov.
