Erica Nesa was born in Lugano, in 1987.
After graduating from linguistic highschool in Lugano, she completed her Bachelor in cello with Taisuke Yamashita at the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana.
She then studied with Johannes Goritzki during her Master in Pedagogy.
At the moment she’s living in Lucerne for her Master in Music Performance with Guido Schiefen.
She was invited to masterclasses and festivals with T. Wick, L. Gorokhov, E. Dindo, R. Cohen, M. Carneiro.
Her chamber music groups worked with I. Charisius, B. Giuranna, M. Quarta, G. Carmignola, N. Doallo, C. Chiarappa, M. Rericha, S. Hamann, P. Beltramini.
She was member of the Swiss Youth Orchestra from 2009 until 2011. She’s often invited to play in productions with the 21st Century Orchestra in Lucerne.
In the meantime she teaches cello.
She received scolarships from the Williamson Foundation and the Rotary Club Lugano.
Erica has a strong volunteering spirit: people with disabilities have a special place in her heart and when she’s not saving frogs from the road, she’s a Nature Guard for the Swiss Governments.
