Cynthia Ko – Taiwan

Woan-Shin Ko (Cynthia) started her musical training at the Central Conservatory of Music secondary school in Beijing, China. In 2005, she moved to Australia and studied at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary school, under Josephine Vains. During her time in Australia, Cynthia has performed throughout Australia, in Government House in Victoria, the Hamer Concert Hall in Melbourne and the Parliament House in the capital city Canberra. In 2007, Cynthia was the Gold Medal receiver of the Dandenong Eisteddfod, she was also the runner up of the Preston Youth Concerto Competition.

Besides solo playing, Cynthia also enjoys playing orchestral and chamber music. She has participated in numerous festivals such as the Melbourne International Music Festival. She is a member of the TAC piano trio group, the trio is planning to participate in the Australian Chamber Music Festival in August this year. Cynthia is also a member of the Musical Society of Victoria, in where she performs regularly.
