1 – AUDITION – SUPPORTING MATERIALS

Supporting materials include:
• A professional-quality recording not to exceed 20 minutes.
• A short resume of accomplishments including musical education and conservatories attended.
• Two most recent teachers with addresses and telephone numbers.
• Degrees and diplomas.
• Competitions.
• A detailed repertoire list specifying repertoire studied and repertoire performed in public.
• Two letters of recommendation.
VIOLIN – VIOLA – CELLO
One movement by J.S. Bach, any concerto movement and a shorter virtuoso piece. Maximum 20 minutes.
PIANO
One movement from the baroque period, any etude and one movement of a classical sonata or a major romantic work. Maximum 20 minutes.
VOICE
Three operatic arias including an aria by Mozart plus a selection of lieder and art songs. Maximum 20 minutes.
DOUBLE BASS
Own choice. Maximum 20 minutes.
OBOE
Own choice. Maximum 20 minutes.
2 – APPLICATION
Deadline: March 2, 2013 for all applicants
Registration fee: € 100
Bank transfer fees are to be paid by the applicant. We can not accept shared charges. Payments in currencies other than euro can be accepted only if the net amount received by the Italian office corresponds to the expected amount in euro.
Please note: The registration fee does NOT count towards the tuition fee. The fee covers the cost of the registration process.
Students should submit to the Italian office of the Festival:
- A copy of the application form online
- A non-refundable registration fee of € 100

Scholarships
There will be no financial aid offered. A number of scholarships will be awarded based upon the quality of talent, as exhibited on the application recordings.
3 – ACCEPTANCE
Upon receipt of all application materials, notification of acceptance will be forwarded by April 5, 2013 and successful applicants will be invited to submit solo performance requests to the Artistic Director Ms. Anne Shih no later than April 26, 2013. Chamber music assignments will be made known at this time.
4 – PAYMENT OF THE BOARDING & TUITION FEE
Deadline: April 26, 2013 for all applicants
Fee: € 1.250 EXCEPT FOR:
1) Pedagogy course applicants who did not select to receive three lessons with one of our faculty OR
2) Edith Mathis masterclass applicants OR
3) Passive applicants who only want to listen to any of the classes:
Fee: € 950.
* We sincerely apologize for the printing error on our posters for the Edith Mathis masterclass which states a fee of € 900. The fee should be € 950.
The full fee for the program includes room hire at Santa Chiara, Istituto Santa Chiara, Casalmaggiore, 3 daily meals & drinks (except on weekends) and administration fees.
Airfare and other travel arrangements are the responsibility of each participant.
