1 - AUDITION - SUPPORTING MATERIALS

Deadline:
February 20, 2009

All supporting materials must be sent to the Artistic Director, Mr. Taras Gabora.

VOICE

Three operatic arias including an aria by Mozart plus a selection of lieder and art songs. Maximum 20 minutes.

 
     

VIOLIN - VIOLA - CELLO

One movement by J.S. Bach, any concerto movement and a shorter virtuoso piece. Maximum 20 minutes.

 
     

PIANO

One movement from the baroque period, any etude and one movement of a classical sonata or a major romantic work. Maximum 20 minutes.

 
     

DOUBLE BASS

Own choice. Maximum 20 minutes.

 
     

Supporting materials include:

•  A professional-quality recording not to exceed 20 minutes. Recordings in CDs, cassette tapes and video tapes (NTSC format) are acceptable.
•  A short resume of accomplishments including musical education and conservatories attended.
•  Two most recent teachers with addresses and telephone numbers.
•  Degrees and diplomas.
•  Competitions.
•  A detailed repertoire list specifying repertoire studied and repertoire performed in public.
•  Two letters of recommendation.

 

Scholarships

Our scholarship budget is limited but we do try to assist outstanding students who, on the strength of their supporting materials, show promise for making a successful career in music. Requests for scholarship assistance should be made on a separate sheet and included with the supporting materials.

2 - APPLICATION

Bank commission fees are in charge of the applicant. Payments in currencies other than euro can be accepted only if the net amount received by the Italian office corresponds to the expected amount in euro.

Students should submit to the Italian office of the Festival:

  • a copy of the application form either online or via mail, fax or e-mail
  • a non-refundable application fee of EUR 100

3 - ACCEPTANCE

Upon receipt of all application materials, notification of acceptance will be forwarded by Friday, March 20 and successful applicants will be invited to submit performance requests to the Artistic Director Mr. Taras Gabora not later than Friday, April 3.
Application fees will be refunded to students not accepted.

Festival concert programs and performance dates of chamber music and solo repertoire will be notified by the Artistic Director by Friday, May 8.


4 - PAYMENT OF THE TUITION FEE

Deadline:
April 3, 2009 for early payments or May 29, 2009 for late payments.

Fee:
EUR 2100 (+4% via PayPal) until April 3, 2009
or
EUR 2200 (+4% via PayPal) between April 4, 2008 and May 29, 2009

Complete festival fees are Euro 2100 until April 3, 2009. An extra fee of Euro 100 must be added if payments are received between April 4 and May 29, 2009. Payments must be sent to the Italian office of the Festival.
The complete fee for the program includes room, board (except on weekends) and tuition. Airfare and other travel arrangements are the responsibility of each participant.

4 - POSSIBLE WITHDRAWAL

Deadline:
June 12, 2009

In case of forced late withdrawal, the paid fee will be refunded with a fixed deduction of EUR 200 as administration fee. Deadline for communicating withdrawals to the Italian office of the Festival is Friday, June 12th 2009. No refunds will be given back after this date.
